The Clinical Team at Valley Achievement Center (VAC) uses various models for those attending our programs and to train the staff that provide learning opportunities for the students at VAC. The models are based in core concepts of Applied Behavior Analysis, Counseling Psychology, School Psychology, and General Education. Using various models means our programming is created and implemented with regard to each learner’s strengths, weaknesses, and goals. At VAC, we have found that with the various types of learning models combined with a tailored environment that is developed for each student, they are able to meet goals quicker with desired results.

Additionally, VAC’s Clinical Team provides structured training for staff members starting at the beginning of their employment. The training encompasses core concepts from all the modalities mentioned above. The training is on-going through their employment with VAC, which is developed and taught by VAC’s Clinical Directors and/or a member of the clinical team. VAC’s Clinical Directors provide mentorship, guidance, and training opportunities for employees that are looking to further their career. These opportunities include additional training and supervision for employees on a career track for the following: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA), Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT), Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), School Psychologist, and Special Education Teachers. The experience and knowledge of VAC’s Clinical Directors allows mentorship and guidance for all staff members at VAC.
